Our modification is fully compatible with current Bosch Smart System software versions. Before performing the service, we require the motor software to be updated to the latest version — this ensures everything works correctly.
However, Bosch may release a future update that changes how the system works. Therefore, after the modification, we recommend disabling automatic updates in the Bosch Flow app and checking this page before any manual update.

Update the motor software to the latest version via the Bosch Flow app. This is a requirement for the service.

If an update we marked as "supported" causes issues with the modification — we will fix it free of charge.
If you update the software without checking compatibility — you do so at your own responsibility.
We understand warranty matters. That's why we offer free restoration to factory settings before any warranty service — for one year from the modification date.
Within one year of the modification, we will restore factory settings for free, and after the service is complete, reapply the modification — also free of charge. Just message us before your service visit.
After restoring factory settings, the modification is invisible to authorised service centres. Standard bike shops do not have the tools to detect that a modification ever took place. The vast majority of warranty cases are handled at this level.
Bosch has a pro-consumer warranty policy. Motor warranty cases are rare, and when they occur — they are typically resolved directly by the local service centre, without sending the motor to the manufacturer's headquarters.
In exceptional cases, a service centre may decide to send the motor to Bosch headquarters for detailed analysis. In such a case, we cannot rule out that the manufacturer may detect traces of the modification. This is a very rare scenario, but we want you to know about it. The decision to use our service is yours.
The entire process takes 15–30 minutes and requires no technical knowledge.

Check the Bosch Flow app for available updates. If there is one — install it before the modification.
Make sure the battery is installed in the bike and the charger is disconnected.
Connect the bike to the PC with a USB‑C cable (you can use a phone cable — Apple from iPhone 15+, any Android USB‑C cable).
If you use the eBike Lock feature — disable it for the duration of the modification.
